| The four cooling towers located at the now decomisioned nuclear plant site Chapelcross in South West Scotland are are set to be domolished at 9.00am, Sunday, 20th May 2007.
Chapelcross Power Station was the first nuclear power station in Scotland. Electricity generation ceased in June 2004. The site supplied strategic materials to the Ministry of Defence and was used to test fuel assemblies for later nuclear power stations.
